Travelling by Road

The most common way for people to travel is by road, especially for short distances. It is cheaper than by air.

There are many kinds of vehicles on the road such as carts, becaks, bikes, motorcycles, cars, buses and trains. We can choose one of them if it is necessary. Or we can go by our own vehicles if we have. But when many people driver their own vehicles especially the motorized ones, it will cause traffic problems/jam.

The government suggest the people to use the public transportation to avoid the traffic jam in many big cities. Now the city bus fare is only Rp 300,00 for one trip. And of course, everyone must obey the traffic regulation.

Traveling by Air

Nowadays people become busier and busier. Sometimes they have to do some important businesses as in many different towns on the same day. To overcome this we need the fastest means of transportation. The best choice is to travel by air.

Garuda Airlines, Sempati Air, Merpati Nusantara Airlines and Bouraq are some of the Indonesian Airlines. Each offers the best facilities to the passengers.

Travelling by air makes us feel that the world is getting narrower and narrower. We need less time to each reach our destination than to travel on the road.

You have to buy a ticket first before. You travel by plane. You can get  the ticket in the ticket agencies which are easy to get now.

The worst thing in traveling by air is that the plane can not reach any towns located within short distances. Towns within short distances do not have plane routes. Small towns do not have airports.

Traveling by Sea

Indonesia consists of thousands island. It makes Indonesia to have large seas. Two thirds of the Indonesian territory is water. Because of this, many people like to travel by ship. It is said that our ancestors were very brave sailors.

It’s not too expensive to travel by ship, but it needs a long time to reach your destination. It is not common for someone to go by ship for a short distance.

To travel by sea, you have to go to the harbour. After you buy a ticket, you may go aboard the ship. Nice stewards and stewardesses will serve you.
